I apologize for the confusion. I’m emailing you about your question for Mike Hethmon at the Immigration Reform Law Institute. Pursuant to our conversation yesterday, Thursday, June 29, 2006, I spoke to Mr. Hethmon about your concern with a New Jersey Town Council’s statement that they cannot enforce immigration law because it’s not within their jurisdiction. Mr. Hethmon advised that more information be found on the Town Council’s statement.
For example, is there a town resolution they are quoting? From where is the Town Council drawing these conclusions? If possible to obtain the documents that state this, we can evaluate the legality.
