Subject: Re: Domestic Terrorism: Homeland Security and Property Rights - Guard cowaring before the enemy?

I was at the Homeland Security and Property Rights inquiry about the National Guard.  I understand they have orders not to engage only in self-defense, and don't even place a bullet into the chamber unless, in my judgement, it is too late.
The gist of the testimony was a coverup in my judgement.  Mr. Nichols, the Acting Chairman raised a quesiton about an incident the next day after this January 3 one, and the General had no clue.  Major Montgomery his Chief of Staff didn't add much, and Major Paul Aguirre (Hispanic)  State Public Affairs Officer (talk about the fox in the chicken coup) didn't say much either.
General David Rataczak was defensive the whole time, "just following orders" and concered for allowing the drug smugglers free passage back into Mexico and not causing an "incident" or get sued by the ACLU.  Warm and fuzzies?.  He stated that their orders to not add one dime to securing the boorder, and most of the committee members were frustrated to get straight answers.
The Republicans want to blame Napaliano, but in my judgment they should be looking at Homeland Security Chernoff, Himmler Gonzalez, Attorney General with Mr. Boosh poosh.
I spent 3 hours listening to hims, haws, and whining.  Where are the warriros?  NOT ONE MANGED TO QUOTE THE ARTICLES IN THE CONSTITUITON THEY ARE VIOLATING.

Karen Schaler that works with the Lou Dobbs show at times, was there with ABC crew.  She interviewed Ward Nichols, the Acting Chairman Ray Barnes recusing himself for conflict of interest, but Kyrsten Senama, an ACLU soldeir unapolgetically weighed in without a blink on the pro invader side.
They seem to be skirting the "invasion" word, and in total denial yet everything points to it even aggretion they are afraid to call "war".  I was totally pre-empted by this circus.
I was on the speaking list for HB2091 and the General's inquiry inserted, possibly the only one, for HB2091 having to do with parcel splitting and taxes, a simple bill.  They tabled it, went through a Polish visa bill to encourage the Congress to be more liberal with yet another immigrant "lobby" demanding special concessions, the General is Polish desent.  There you go.  At least the Polish are or were helping us in Iraq, I'll give them that however there are many KGB agents handing around still.
The last minutes and all through the opponents of Border Security had their say, and got in their jabs.  However, my comments were not allowed.  They follow:

GOVERNMENT MUST DEFEND THE MEXICAN  BORDER
And if the government won't do it, then it should get out of  the way.

Because the rest of us  will.

What part of "National Guard" don't they  understand?

It  would seem like the purpose of the National Guard would be to guard the
nation.

But  somehow, the bigwigs up in Washington don't see it that way. And so it
was that  last week armed invaders crossed into the United States from

Mexico and advanced  on a unit of the Army National Guard, which followed its
orders to the letter.

The  American soldiers turned and ran.

They  abandoned their position and called 9-1-1.

Apparently, in the grand plan for surrendering America to  anyone who walks
across the border, the order of battle is for the guys in  combat boots to
capitulate without a fight and then call the Border Patrol,  which will stop
by a week from next Tuesday to make sure the guardsmen weren't  insensitive to
anyone's culture.

Here's  what happened. A group of soldiers from the Army National Guard were
on post on  the civilized side of the border with Mexico. It was the dark of
the night, last  Wednesday, and they observed a large group of armed men
cross  the border into  the United States from Mexico.

The  armed men made a beeline for the American troops. They came directly
for them.

Finally, when the armed men from Mexico were within 100 yards, the
National  Guardsmen abandoned their post and retreated away from the border,
away from the  approaching men.

When  the Border Patrol later came to the area, the armed men were gone, but
it was  clear from their tracks that they had disappeared across the Mexican
border,  going back the way they came.

Various government spokesmen have been puzzled by people's  upset with this.
The official line is that things were handled exactly the right  way, that
this is a normal occurrence and that no one should question it.

Which  leaves a bunch of us scratching our heads.

Because we tend to think that invading somebody else's country  is a very
good way to get killed. And if you are going to be the National Guard  you
sure as heck better guard the nation.

And that if the government has ordered  the National Guard to retreat in the face of wilful territory violations, then maybe we need a new government.

It  seems like, to us regular people, that groups of armed men crossing the
border  into our country ought to be shot on sight. It would seem like
getting together  what amounts to an infantry squad and putting foot on American
soil while armed ought to be just about enough death warrant.

It  seems like, to us regular people, that the United States Army -- and its
subdivision, the Army National Guard -- should be completely and reliably in
the  business of protecting America.
And that's not just a figure of speech.

It's a  literal reality. Or at least it ought to be. If somebody from
another country  comes here armed, even in the dark of the night along the Arizona
border, it has  to be seen as an aggressive and provocative act.

And  the only appropriate response is to blow them to heck.

Honestly, let the tracers fly. If this was a unit of the  Mexican army or
the mercenary militia of some drug lord, its violation of our  territory was
unacceptable and called out for immediate military retaliation.

The  National Guard is not a welcome wagon service, it is a component of our  military.
The border is not just a line on a map, it is a statement about sovereignty.

Foreign soldiers must not be allowed to cross it. If they do, they  must face
everything we have to throw at them.

For  unknown reasons, the goverment has decided to allow unrestricted
illegal immigration from Mexico.

That's one thing.

Allowing unretaliated violation of  our border is another thing.

A thing the American people cannot tolerate.

It is  an abdication of a fundamental governmental responsibility.

And it  must have shamed those National Guardsmen. It must have galled them
to have to  surrender American soil to a pack of dogs from south of the border.

To have a  nation as large as ours be incapable of defending itself from in
a situation  like this, particularly in this day of terrorism, is unconscionable.

And it  needs to stop.

The  American people must demand of their castrated government a policy of
national  self-defense.

The border should be protected and every armed incursion onto our  territory must be met and rebuffed by armed force.

We should hail these people, tell them they have crossed the border and need to leave.

And  if they don't, we  should engage them.

We should kill them all day long if we have to.

We should  simply not tolerate this piecemeal invasion.

We should drive armed invaders --  or their lfieless bodies -- back onto their side of the
border.

And if  the government won't do it, then it should get out of the way.

Because the rest of us will.
